My first Saturday Suggestion of the month is a little treat for you all.
If anyone went to Brownstock festival last weekend then you would have heard of the band JaJaWunderbar.
It just so happens that two of the band members Dave and Calvin work with me here at Amara.
The band formed at school when they were just 17 and after taking a break for university they are now back and recording new material.
They’ve played lots of shows over a the years, some of their biggest include the Roundhouse, Queen of Hoxton and of course Brownstock festival and have also had the chance to record in Oxfordshire at a studio used by big names such as Radiohead and Supergrass.
NME named them ‘a brilliant unhinged wonk pop bomb blast!’- and that they are, they’re awesome.
Have a listen for yourself, if you love Two Door Cinema Club then you’re bound to love JaJaWunderbar too!
Here is one of my favourites, if you don’t have it going round your head by the end of the day then something is wrong with you
I had a little chat with Dave and he’s said ‘we have no real gigs to shout about at the moment, but should be releasing something towards the end of this year.’
So stay tuned!
