Today on twitter Professor Green tweeted a link from NME about a footballer who was receiving death threats… from one direction fans!
Now anyone who keeps up to date with that sort of thing will know death threats from one direction fans is not something out of the ordinary, they’re a fighsty bunch of 14 year olds.
It’s not just one direction fans though, they’re all at it! Bieber fanatics and Gaga followers have also been known to dish out death threats to people on the social networking site.
Footballer Gabriel Agbonlahor, their latest victim received threats after tackling Louis Tomlinson during a charity football match yesterday. He’s joining Deadmau5, Selena Gomez, GQ magazine and Pixie Geldolf to the list of other people who have all also suffered from death threats from these extremist fans.
Although everyone listed above are celebrities, it’s also not unknown for the fans to start on innocent other people on the site as well.
After all this controversy about Ask Fm last month does anyone else agree with me that something needs to be done on Twitter as well to stop constant death threats from angry fans?
These 14 year olds need to learn that cyber bulling isn’t going to get you anywhere in life- It’s not big and it’s not clever.
Twitter needs to be policed a lot better and people that do hand out death threats on the site should be temporarily blocked so they learn their lesson.
Whether it’s a celebrity or not, no one deserves death threats.
Twitter, please sort this out before the same thing that happened on Ask Fm happens on your site!
