This week’s Saturday Suggestion is something else I heard about on Facebook.

AURELIAS is an indie/alternative clothing brand, that was set up by Facebook friend Ben Shaw from Burnham-on-Crouch.
I caught up with him to tell us all about how a few doodles turned into an international clothing brand!
I started it back in 2011 after having been interested in graphic design for a long time, I decided to put that to use and started creating designs for a clothing range. The first design that was released under AURELIAS in May of 2011, was the Owl, created by a designer with great skills in digital illustration. Further along the line more designs were introduced, and then further expanded the indie/alternative style by creating an accessories range, including beanies and sunglasses.
The style is a slight mix of illustration and graphic design. The OWL and FOX designs are highly detailed illustrations, whereas ABANDON SHIP! and CAMDEN LOCK are more graphic based, using logos and geometry.
As of present day, AURELIAS has posted orders to a total of 13 countries worldwide.
It has changed my life in the sense that I now have great responsibility, managing the website, e-mails, and many social media sites. Posting orders soon after ordering for a fast delivery service to provide the customers with the best experience.
The next step for AURELIAS is to expand the product range, to include more types of clothing; hoodies, dresses, skirts, jumpers, and more.
